Energy Mate wood boilers were made in Wisconisin in 1978. My friend had one and replaced the entire heating system with Radiant heat and was looking to get rid of his Energy Mate Add On Boiler (wood or coal fired).

I might be able to get one.. he burned wood in it, but doesn't know what the grates are, Did these come with shaker grates? Is it a well built boiler? It is around 20 years old. I have a wood boiler set up on parralles with my oil boiler. The wood boiler is set to cycle off when it reaches about 195 degrees, and on when it drops to about 165 degrees. When none of the heating zones are calling for heat, the hot water from the wood boiler circulates throught the oil boiler.
